Road closures around Ashton Court Estate will be in place every evening from 7.00pm to allow the safe egress of pedestrians and vehicles from the event site. It is advised that travelling during this time is kept to essential journeys only. Please keep an eye on our social media for more information. See road closure form here.
The fiesta will once again place no waiting restrictions along Long Ashton Road so that two way traffic can flow through the village during the event. To assist residents who do not have access to off street parking, specific Residents Parking Zones will be created at appropriate points along Long Ashton Road. The Residents Parking Zones will be clearly sign posted. In addition, only residents living on Parsonage Road and Glebe Road will also be able to apply for a Residents Parking Pass to enable them to park within the Resident Parking Zones.
Residents MUST apply for a permit to park within these areas by completing this online form.
A pass will be returned to you by email for you to print out. Should you require the fiesta to post you a pass please indicate this on your application.
Space within the Residents Parking Zones is limited and available on a first come first served basis. Parking Enforcement Officers will issue a Penalty Notice to all vehicles parking within these areas that do not display a valid Residents Parking Pass.
Long Ashton residents should also note that access to Bristol between 9.00pm and 11.00pm will not be possible via the B3128 and past The Ashton public house. Instead, residents should travel to the far end of the village, and join the A370 at the Flax Bourton/Barrow Gurney junction. This closure and diversion will be kept to an absolute minimum and emergency vehicles will be granted access.
Parking restrictions will once again be placed as in previous years. Residents wishing to gain access to their properties during the road closure periods are asked to enter Leigh Woods from the Beggar Bush traffic lights and access will not be permitted from the Bower Ashton roundabout. Passes will be distributed to each household prior to the fiesta, but should you wish to order extra copies, please apply through the form below. Please download your residents parking permit here.
Road Closures – Kennel Lodge Road, the southern end of Parklands Road, Bower Ashton, junction with Clanage Road and suspension of the one way, Parklands Road junction with Clanage Road to junction with Courtlands Road.
The end of Parklands Road will be closed to both pedestrians and vehicles for the duration of the event. This is to minimise disruption to your street and the area of Bower Ashton. The one way system will be suspended to allow residents of the lower end of Parklands to access their homes.
Road closures will be in place from 6.00am Thursday 10th August until 11.30pm Sunday 13th August.
Residents in the area can still gain access to their property by entering Parklands Road from Courtlands Road. The junction of Courtlands Road and Kennel Lodge Road will have barriers to restrict the entrance and a sign stating no access to the fiesta, residents only.
Residents need to use a Bower Ashton Fiesta Resident Access Pass during the road closure periods – each household has had two passes issued to them. The Resident Access Pass will allow you access via the applicable road closure points.
Closures will once again be in place from 7pm until Midnight daily and from mid-day on Saturday 12th. The Bower Ashton roundabout will be fully closed to all traffic (except Shuttle Buses) , including Resident Pass Holders. Please note – this pass does not grant Bower Ashton residents access through the road closure at Leigh Woods and down Rownham Hill. Access to Bower Ashton must be made via the slip roads onto the Bower Ashton roundabout.
Road closures will take place around Ashton Court every evening from 7.00pm until midnight. In addition, the
B3128 will be closed from its junctions with the A370 to Longwood Lane from 9.30pm until 11.30pm every evening.
We will also be closing the A370 between Winterstoke Road and Colliters Way roundabout (South Bristol Link Road)
between 9.30pm and midnight.
Please note – the traffic flow along Longwood Lane and onto Clevedon Road is temporarily made one way during
the road closure period, using both sides of the highway. Therefore, please access the closures from the Beggar
Bush Lane/Longwood Lane closure to travel in the same direction as the traffic leaving Ashton Court Estate. Please
DO NOT attempt to enter Clevedon Road from the Beggar Bush Lane/Weston Road/Clevedon Road Traffic Lights.
