Please note during the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta road closures will be in place around Ashton Court Estate every evening from 7pm for everyone’s safety.
Local residents will be given Resident Access Passes, as necessary, to allow access via applicable road closure points. These have been sent directly to households. The details of how to access via applicable road closure points, depending on where you live can also be found below. Below you will also find the relevant forms to request additional passes if required.
Please also note, the Clifton Suspension Bridge will be closed to vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists between 6.00pm and midnight on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August.

The Fiesta will once again place no waiting restrictions along Long Ashton Road so that two-way traffic can flow through the village during the event.
To assist residents who do not have access to off street parking, specific Residents Parking Zones will be created at appropriate points along Long Ashton Road. The Residents Parking Zones will be clearly sign posted.
Residents living in Long Ashton Road, Parsonage Road and Glebe Road will be able to apply for a Residents Parking Pass to enable them to park within the Resident Parking Zones.
Residents must apply for a permit to park within these areas by completing this online form.
A pass will be returned to you by email to print out. Should you require the Fiesta to post you a pass please indicate this on your application.
Space within the Residents Parking Zones is limited and available on a first come, first served basis. Parking Enforcement Officers will issue a Penalty Notice to all vehicles parking within these areas that do not display a valid Residents Parking Pass.
Long Ashton residents should also note that access to Bristol between 9.00pm and 11.00pm will not be possible via the B3128 and past The Ashton public house. Instead, residents should use Yanley Lane, Wild Country Lane or join the A370 at the Flax Bourton/Barrow Gurney junction. This closure and diversion will be kept to an absolute minimum and emergency vehicles will be granted access.
We will also be closing the A370 between Winterstoke Road and Colliters Way roundabout (South Bristol Link Road) between 9.30pm and Midnight.
While the road closures are in operation you will need to use a Resident’s Access Pass to allow access through the Resident’s access point located on the Abbots LeighRoad/Beggar Bush Lane traffic lights. In addition, a resident carrying a utility bill or formal correspondence with your Leigh Woods postal address will also be entitled to access.
We will be closing the A370 between Winterstoke Road and Colliters Way roundabout (South Bristol Link Road) between 9.30pm and midnight on Friday 9 and Saturday10 August.
Please note access to Leigh Woods via Bower Ashton and Rownham Hill will not be possible during road closure times.

The Bower Ashton roundabout will be fully closed to all traffic (except ShuttleBuses), including Resident Pass Holders between 9.30pm and midnight on Friday 9and Saturday 10 August.
The A370 will also be closed between Winterstoke Way and Colliters Way roundabout(South Bristol Link Road) between 9.30pm and midnight on Friday 9 and Saturday10 August 2024.
Residents will need to use a Fiesta Resident Access Pass during the road closure periods to allow access via applicable road closure points.
Please note, the pass does not grant Bower Ashton residents access through the road closures at Leigh Woods and down Rownham Hill. Access to Bower Ashton must be made via the slip roads onto the Bower Ashton roundabout.

Road closures will take place around Ashton Court Estate every evening from 7.00pm until midnight. In addition, the B3128 will be closed from its junctions with the A370 to Longwood Lane from 9.30pm until 11.30pm every evening.
We will be closing the A370 between Winterstoke Road and Colliters Way roundabout (South Bristol Link Road) between 9.30pm and midnight on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 August.
Residents will need to use a Fiesta Resident Access Pass during the road closure periods to allow access through the resident’s access point located off Beggar BushLane onto Longwood Lane.
Each household will be issued with two passes, should you require additional passes please complete the pass application form below.
Please note the traffic flow along Longwood Lane and onto Clevedon Road is temporarily made one way during the road closure period, using both sides of the highway.Therefore, please access the road closures from the Beggar Bush Lane/Longwood Lane closure to travel in the same direction as the traffic leaving AshtonCourt Estate. This is all marked on the road closure map. Please do not attempt to enter Clevedon Road from the Beggar Bush Lane/Weston Road/Clevedon Road traffic lights.
