Disabled Access Information

We've outlined below information for disabled visitors which aims to ensure all our guest have an enjoyable visit to the Bristol International Balloon Fiesta.

 

About the Fiesta

We want the Fiesta to be an enjoyable day for everyone and we hope the following information will help you plan your trip. The Fiesta takes place in the rolling parkland of Ashton Court Estate and the majority of the park is grassland although the estate does have a number of tarmac roads or limited temporary roadways.

Before your arrival

  • You can contact us with any enquiries you may have about your visit by telephone, email or via social media.
  • Directions to the Fiesta can be found on our website as well as a map which can be downloaded.
  • Privilege and Advanced Car Park Tickets can be bought in advance via our website. If you wish to book a disabled car parking ticket please click here.

Getting to the Fiesta

  • By Taxi - Ask your taxi driver to follow the road signs to the designated drop off/pick up location, which is a short walk from the event site.
  • By Bus - Our shuttle bus service will drop visitors to the roundabout just outside the site. Please note that it takes about 10 minutes to reach the main arena via an uphill path.
  • By Car - Privilege and Advanced Car Park tickets can be bought in advance. If you wish to book a Disabled Car Parking ticket please click here. The Privilege and Disabled Car Park is accessed via Gate 4.

On arrival

  • Designated Disabled Parking is accessed via Gate 4, which is clearly signposted.
  • The pedestrian entrance to the Fiesta Arena from the Disabled Car Park is paved with metal trackway.
  • The pedestrian entrance to the Fiesta Arena from our On the Day Car Park is via a gently sloped tarmac road.

Main Fiesta Arena

  • Trackway and pathways circle the main arena site.
  • The grass can be uneven in areas and slippy when wet.
  • The Disabled Viewing Pavilion is located next to the arena by the Cameron’s Experience marquee.

Toilets

  • There are disabled toilets located by each block of toilets on site.
  • There is an additional disabled toilet located in the stables courtyard behind the mansion

Visitors to Balloonist & 100 Club Marquees

  • There is ramped wheelchair access to both marquees.
  • There is a disabled toilet located behind both marquees.

Additional Information

  • Guide Dogs are welcome.
