Visiting the Fiesta

Travel to the Fiesta

The beautiful Ashton Court Estate is situated to the West of Bristol City Centre. It has ample parking for cars, can be reached on foot or bike from the city or via public transport.

With hundreds of thousands of people visiting the fiesta, we work very hard to manage the access routes and car parks to make your visit as simple as possible. There are many ways of getting directly into the Fiesta event site either by car, walking or by official dedicated bus services. At peak times you can expect a short wait to enter and leave the car parks, so please, where possible plan your journey in advance, arrive early and be patient with fellow visitors.

If you are planning an evening visit (remember there is no mass ascent on Thursday 6th but there is a Night Glow) Friday evening is the quietest of the three days of ascents. The key is to arrive early and get yourself into a good position, watch the balloon teams do the hard work, enjoy the arena entertainment and perhaps do a bit of shopping.

By Car

Follow the yellow road signs to the Fiesta - Public Car Parks are clearly signposted

From the North, M5 Junction 19: take the A369 towards Bristol city centre

From the South, M5 Junction 21: take the A370 towards Bristol

From the East or West, M4 Junction 20: take the M5 southbound, leaving at junction 19 for the A369 towards Bristol city centre

SAT NAV Details: If you use a SAT NAV use the postcode BS8 3TQ. Once you pick up the yellow event road signs, please follow these as they will direct you with the flow of event traffic.

Car Parks

Car Parking will be available shortly via the 'Book Car Parking' section on the website.

By Foot

Head for gate 7 as this gives you the best access to all the entertainment

The Fiesta site is a 45 minute walk from Bristol City Centre, Clifton and South Bristol. Please use the Festival Way if you are walking from central Bristol, which is sign posted from the M-Shed museum.
